Archives Research

In official registers of births, marriages and deaths - often the starting point for a research assignment.

In other important sources such as real estate records, maps indicating ownership of property by families in the 19th century, ancestor liability documents, population census records etc. (see the list of genealogical and historical sources).

You will be provided with a report in English which contents: description of the method how data were gained; full transcript of all found records (along with accurate citation of used sources); explanation of all historical terms that appear in records; suggestions on possibilities how to proceed the research. For a better outline, every report is supplied with a simple family chart.

Find and contact living relatives of yours in the Czech Republic

Provide photographs (modern or archive, if found) of houses and places your ancestors lived in

Digitize towns, houses or found relatives

Provide copies of old maps of towns or villages

Provide a history of places you are interested in

Translate correspondence and other historical documents (for free up to 10 pages !!!)

Order copies of any documents in the Czech Republic (this service is for free)
